This week at Sauvie Island Farms, we have THREE varieties of Peach ripe and ready to pick.
Red Haven, Hale-Havens and Rosas are all tree ripened and ready to come off the trees.
These peaches are all excellent flavor and great for fresh eating or canning.
For berries on the farm, we have a huge crop of Blue Crop blueberries ripe and ready to be picked.
The Chester blackberries are starting to sweeten up. Our raspberry and marionberry season is over for this year.
Veggies: green beans, pickling cukes, cabbage, kale, zucchini, lettuce, cauliflower, broccoli, slicing and lemon cucumbers. Also beautiful Dill and Basil.
U-cut flowers...so many of blooming; Dahlias, Zinnias, Cosmos, Glads, Amaranthus, Bachelor Buttons, several types of Sunflowers.
It's a great time to come out to the farm!

Red Haven Peaches
It's time to pick Red Haven Peaches at
Sauvie Island Farms.
The orchard is loaded with beautiful tree ripened peaches this week. U-pick for only $1.50 per lb. The price drops to $1.25 per lb if you pick over 15 lbs. and to just $1.00 per lb if you pick over 50 lbs.
On the farm this week, we also have beautiful
Blue Crop Blueberries. The bushes are loaded with larger size, sweet fruit right now. They are so easy to pick, and so good for you.
We are at the end of the season for raspberries, but you can still find some in the Saanich and Cohos.
Just a handful of Chester blackberries have started to ripen if you want to get the first taste of the season.
Marionberry season is over and the yellow raspberries need a few weeks to ripen up again.
Pick Your Own berries are $2.50 per lb. We have fresh pick flats of blueberries and raspberries each day, until the raspberries are all finished up.
Veggies this week: we have a young patch of green beans, small sized pickling cukes, dill, cabbage, lettuce, kale, broccoli, peas, & zucchini
Beautiful flowers are blooming in the u-cut garden, dahlias, sunflowers, bachelor buttons, cosmos, zinnias, lavender, daisies, baby's breath, gladiolus, amaranthus.
There have been some Pokemon sightings here on the farm :)

We have 4 types of berries for you to pick at

All of these berries are $2.50 per lb for u-pick.
It's an early season, again, this year. The marionberries don't last long. They have all ripened at once, so it's time to get them picked!
We will have freshed picked flats each day- 10 lbs for $32.00 if you don't want to pick your own.
We have spinach, kale, lettuce and beets available for u-pick.
And lots of flowers are blooming.

It's early!!

It's early!! We also still have nice Hood Strawberries waiting to be picked. The strawberry season will end soon, but these other berries are just getting started!
We have a small patch of baby spinach, with many more veggies waiting to mature.
Our flowers fields are also growing, just a few are blooming at this time.
It's only the first weekend in June, but we are in full berry harvest now!

Opening day! May 21
Sauvie Island Farms will open for the 2016 season on Saturday May 21st!
Hood and Shuksan Strawberries are ripe and ready to be picked!
WE WILL BE OPEN MONDAY-SATURDAY 8AM-7PM CLOSED SUNDAYS.
U-cut Peonies are ready also, as well as a few herbs and early flowers.
The peonies bloomed early this year and won't last much longer.
We have many vegetables planted and growing. All the berries
and peaches have bloomed and look good this year.
It's going to be a great season at Sauvie Island Farms.
