The next couple of days may be your last chance this season to pick tree ripened peaches at
Sauvie Island Farms.
We have beautiful peaches on the trees, but the end will come quickly. There are a few trees with sweet Hale-Haven, lots of Veteran peaches still waiting to be picked, and we will start to pick our Elberta peaches Friday. We do not have many Elberta trees, they usually get picked off in a couple of days. If you haven't picked peaches this year....don't miss out. With the hot weather we have had, the peaches are extra sweet and delicious this year. Also easy to work with, they come right off the pit and the skins slip off easily. For the most current peach picking info, call 503-621-3988.
Bartlett Pears are ready to pick also. Pears are picked firm off the trees and then ripen up at home. $1.00 per lb. Pick over 15 lbs, the price drops to 75 cents per lb.
Chester Blackberries and yellow raspberries available for u-pick, $2.00/lb.
Blueberry season is over.
There are lots of veggies ready to be picked in the next couple of days also.
Sweet corn 4/$1.00, pickling cukes, cauliflower, broccoli, kale, cabbage, bell peppers & hot peppers, eggplant, slicing cukes, zucchini.
Gorgeous flowers blooming and ready to be cut, also cilantro, basil, dill, rosemary and few more herbs.!
Hope to see you this week on the farm! We are open Monday-Saturday 8am-7pm
