Red Haven Peaches

Red Haven Peaches are ripe and ready to pick this week at Sauvie Island Farms.

The peach trees are loaded with sweet tree ripened fruit and are ready to be picked.

The majority of the trees in our peach orchard are 48 years old.  These Red Haven have been producing wonderful peaches for us for all these years. Look at the trees when you come out to the orchard, there are several trees with hollow trunks and branches. We are taking it one year at a time with these peach trees, there will come a time when we can not keep attempting to prune and keep them healthy.  This may the last year for Red Haven peaches.
