August on the farm

It's the first week of August and the harvest is plentiful at
SAUVIE ISLAND FARMS.

Beautiful, sweet tree ripened RED HAVEN PEACHES are ready to be picked. The weather is perfect for peach picking, we keep our trees pruned low to the ground, so the picking is easy. There are plenty of peaches to be picked this week.

The peaches are just $1.50 per lb.-if you pick over 15 lbs the price drops to $1.25 per lb. AND if you pick over 50 lbs, the price drops to just $1.00 per lb!

There are still sweet RASPBERRIES for you to pick. There are not as many berries on the vine as there were earlier in the season, but the fruit is still sweet and easy to pick this week.

We also have an abundance of Blue Crop BLUEBERRIES, small quantities of MARIONBERRIES, and the beginnings of Chester BLACKBERRIES. All the berries are $1.75 per lb.

Veggies available this week are larger sized pickling cukes, green beans, zucchini, yellow summer squash, lettuce, & cabbage. Our sweet corn is still a couple of weeks away from being ready to pick.

Beautiful u-cut flowers-zinnias, dahlias, sunflowers, cosmos, and more this week at Sauvie Island Farms.
