Blueberry Buckle Muffins {Re dux}

I posted this recipe here in July 2009....and just thought it was time to bring attention back to it. Blueberries are in season and plentiful!! And this is the best blueberry muffin recipe I have come across. If you didn't try it two years ago, you really should try it this year! Its really that good!

Blueberry Buckle Muffins
1/2 cup butter, divided
1 cup sugar, divided
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cup flour, divided
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 cups blueberries
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
In bowl, cream 1/4 cup soften butter and 3/4 cup sugar. Add eggs & vanilla, mix well. Combine 2 cups flour, baking powder & salt: add to eggs alternating with buttermilk. Mix well. Toss berries in 1/4 cup flour: fold into batter. Pour into muffin cups. For topping, combine 1/4 cup flour, brown sugar, 1/4 cup sugar, cinnamon & 1/4 cup cold butter until it resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over batter. Bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes. 12 servings

So, I am trying this recipe. I will let you know how it turns out. Of course, the blue berries are from Sauvie Island farms! Thanks.
