So many berries

Sauvie Island Farms Raspberries

We have three varieties of raspberries that are ripe and ready to pick now!
Coho, Saanich and Tulameen.
All of these berries have ripen at once, and are sweet and waiting to be picked.
Raspberries love the cooler weather, and with the heat that is predicted for this weekend and next week, they will wither and fall off the vines.  It's a great time for easy raspberry picking.
Come out before it gets too hot!

Early Blue Blueberries
are loaded with larger than normal sized berries that are flavorful and sweet.
The picking is so easy, there are so many ripe on each bush.
We have also opened the marionberry field.  Be selective and only pick the darkest ones, there are many red ones that need more time to ripen.
All the berries are $2.00 per lb for u-pick.
We have a beautiful field of kale waiting to be harvested.
Kale is so healthy for you.
I put a handful in my breakfast smoothie every day,
it's a great way to add more greens to your daily nutrition.
Kale is easy to pick,
just snap off the leaves from the plant.
It doesn't weigh much,
so you can get a lot at $3.00 per lb.

We also have spinach, napa cabbage,
cabbage, and snow peas.
Several flowers are blooming, even a few dahlias have started to open up.
Hope to see you this week on the farm!
