end of peach season

It is getting to the end of our peach season on Sauvie Island Farms for this year.
We have finished picking the Veteran peaches and are now picking the first of the Elbertas.
There are still some  Elbertas that need a few days to ripen,  so by the end of the week, we may finish those up.  We have O Henry peaches, that should be ready to pick sometime next week.  When those are gone, we will be finished with peaches for this year.

The Bartlett Pears are ready to be picked.  We have a great crop this year. You pick these green, and let them ripen up at home.  It takes about a week.  If the pears are left on the trees to ripen, they get a mushy texture.

Berries:   Blue Crop Blueberries, Chester Blackberries & Yellow raspberries available this week.

Sweet Corn -- Bi-color, Bodacious, & Honey Select for only 4 ears for $1.00 .  We have fresh picked each day or you can pick your own.

Veggies:  Green beans, kale, zucchini, lettuce, leeks, cabbage, swiss chard, eggplant, peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, slicing & lemon cucumbers.  A few tomatoes are starting to turn red.

Lots of flowers are blooming and some great basil, cilantro, dill, rosemary are ready to be cut!!
