2021 Pick Your Own Season at Sauvie Island Farms

Strawberries are almost ready to pick for the 2021 season.  We plan to open the farm on Wednesday, June 2 for our first day of U-pick Hood and Shuksan strawberries.  (this picture is NOT from this year....our berries are not that ripe yet)

We have already had a challenging season this spring dealing with the weather and lack of rain.  We began irrigating our berries and other crops in April, which is unheard of in spring in Oregon.  This year the strawberries are looking good and we are watching them closely as they ripen.  We do not want to open the fields until there is a good supply for the u-pickers.

On the farm this year, we will still be practicing Covid safety procedures.

We ask that you do NOT bring you own containers, we will supply boxes for you to pick into.  Because we are outside, we will be relaxed on the mask requirements, but we would like to have your input.  If you want our employees to have a mask on when you are interacting with them, just ask and they will put one on.  Otherwise, we ask that you follow the CDC requirements, if you are fully vaccinated, you are not required to wear a mask at the farm.

Our peonies will be ready to cut by June 2.
