Peaches...the Early Reds are gone.....

Wow. Those went fast! We are picked out of the Early Red Haven peaches.
The RED HAVENS should be ripe enough to pick hopefully by Thursday of this week.We will send out an update to let you know our opening day for the Red Haven Peaches. When you come out to the farm, you will notice in the orchard that there are small young trees planted between the larger peach trees. We have 'replanted' our peach orchard after 30+ years. It does take a few years for the trees to grow and mature before they produce any fruit, so we will keep the older trees for the next couple of years for u pick. We have added a couple of new varieties and replanted a couple of the favorites! We are planning to continue the tradition started by the farmer's dad of u pick peaches at Sauvie Island Farms for many years to come!
This week on the farm, we are still picking Raspberries, Blueberries and small quanitities of Marionberries. We have beautiful pickling size cucumbers, green beans, zucchini, yellow summer squash, lettuce, and cabbage. There are some beautiful flowers blooming this week also!
